Cell Over Johnny J's

Even though the quality of this photo is not the best, it give the viewer an idea of a thunder cell that came through Casper, Wyoming on 22 June 2010 that produced tornado warnings. Cool Huh.

Another Tornado Warning For Casper

This thunder cell came through just north of Casper on 22 June 2010. There were unconfirmed sightings of two separate tornadoes north east of the city and left six inches of hail in its wake. Some of the hail stones were the size of baseballs.

If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you will see a red ridge running left to right in the background. That ridge is where Butch Cassidy and other outlaws hid out in the 1800's (The Hole In The Wall). Its near Kaycee Wyoming, about 100 miles to the north of Casper west of I-25.

Home Home On The Range

This little buck was just off the road a few yards. I thought it was a cool setting so I took the shot (Picture).

Non Wild Horses

Driving through open range country, I came across these horses.

Mama and Baby

Strip Mining Coal With A Drag Line

This huge piece of equipment is strip mining coal just off of high way 80 between Wamsutter and Rock Springs Wyoming.

Taking a close look at the its base, you will see that there are no treads but huge feet that are used to move from one place to another.

Chain From Dragline

Can you believe the size of this chain?

Drag Line Chain

Used Blasing Wire

I came across this and other used blasting wire as I crossed the area where the drag line had been pulling soil out of the pit it was digging.
