Some time ago, a momma cat decided to adopt us. We have no idea where she came from but she has become a real pet with kittens included. Julia and Tyler have had a blast playing with them and thought advertising them as remote control kittens was "Funny Right There" :-)
Twice a year, Julia's piano teacher requires her students to perform in a recital. Here is a short clip of Julia in action.
This series of pictures is dedicated to a little boy who decided to build his own version of a dam in our Burlington backyard after visiting Roach Gultch Dam about fifteen miles southwest of Burlington. The first few pictures are of Tyler's creation and the next few were the inspiration for the backyard project.
This was a fun family outing. We took a short cut under the road through a culvert about four feet high to get to the bridge. From here we traveled upstream almost to the base of Bill Cody dam that you can see in the following pictures. Two people have told us that this river drops more per mile than any other in the continental united states. In its day, the dam was the highest concrete dam in the world and was the prototype for the Hoover and other dams found on the Colorado River.
